San Diego, CA — A bold contemporary painting by Oakland, CA artist Michael Robinson takes a famous Picasso self portrait and mashes it up with a Warhol-style vibe that also cites early punk rock and jazz.

With an eye on reframing his talent once again, Michael Robinson is in the midst of his first gallery exhibit in La Jolla, with an appearance planned for next month.
Four of Robinson’s contemporary paintings are on display at Legends Gallery through January.

Oakland-based contemporary painter Michael Robinson will be the subject of a special free art exhibit at the Town Hall Theatre in Lafayette through May 31.
Titled "Moods For Moderns," the show features six of Robinson's unique originals that highlight his three main formats - abstract figurative, mid-century geometrics and modern surrealism.
